- To apply in the scheme, the applicant must first be a native of India.
- People from both rural and urban areas can apply in this scheme.
- The age of the applicant must be more than 25 years.
- The applicant should not have any type of 2 or 4 wheeler vehicle in his house.
- The applicant should not be a tax payer.

Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana 2024 Benefits
- In this scheme, the beneficiary can avail benefits up to 2.50 lakhs.
- In the scheme, the interested beneficiary is given institutional finance (loan) up to ₹ 70,000 at 3% low interest rate to build a house.
- The minimum size of the beneficiary’s house will be 25 square meters.
- The beneficiary can also take financial assistance of up to Rs.12,000 for toilet construction.
- In this scheme itself, the beneficiary can take an LPG connection in the house in conjunction with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
- Payment is made electronically directly into bank accounts or post office accounts which are linked to Aadhaar.
